I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor with over 20 years experience in the field of mental health. I am currently working in private practice on the Isle of Iona on the west coast of Scotland. I see clients in person on the island, periodically in London, and online from across Scotland and the rest of the UK. I also work online with people based in Ireland, Italy, India, Canada and the US. This method of therapy has been particularly valued by people wanting the combination of effective therapy with the ease and convenience of sessions from their own home.
Before coming to Iona I worked for ten years in a leading mental health hospital in London (www.nightingalehospital.co.uk) as a senior therapist, developing the group therapy programme as well as working individually with a wide range of clients referred to me by consultant psychiatrists, GPs and word of mouth.
I am fully accredited by both the UK Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP) and by BUPA. I hold a postgraduate diploma in psychodynamic psychotherapy from WFP Therapy and a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the Grove Practice in London.
